All 10 photos were taken for BYU–Idaho’s campus newspaper the Scroll.  I was a photographer for the Scroll for 5 consecutive semesters.  The first two photos were entered into a contest were staff members from Utah’s Deseret News voted them #1 and #2 of 50+ submissions. My personal favorite photo-shoot was with Christa Nyleen and son William, I was able to return 4 separate times throughout a 12 hour time frame and capture a day in the life of busy mom Christa.  It was so fun trying to find photo ops in everyday life.

  1. I have to say that I love the football picture. I have two little brothers and it was easy to relate and capture the moment with this picture as I’m usually out playing with them. Also, the picture of the conductor is my bishop. Just a side note 🙂

  2. I really liked all of your photo’s because you caught the everyday life. I love how the simple things can be so beautiful.

  3. Love the football picture! Nice job nailing the focus, it does look a tad underexposed though. Overall great shot!

  4. I loved the angle on the first photo. The shot has great lines and really leads your eye to the man’s face. Good work!
